Yellow Fahaka Puffer

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My fahaka has ghost shrimp tank mates and I tossed in a molly the other day just cause and he has left it alone. But last time I add a fish(oto catfish) it was nothing but a head in less then 3 mins

Looks great but, just curious, how do you know if its male or female? Since you mentioned 'her'

I have read that they like to eat snails, but mine has so far ignored snails.

Haven't tried to feed ghost shrimps yet until I can breed to own to minimize introducing parasites.

My tank looks like it could do with a pleco. I dunno if it's worth trying.

I was told by the shop owner who said their distributor said that it is a female.

I have read that the only way to really tell is when they lay eggs.

Here is my big guy. He's 14"

That's awesome. What have you been feeding him/her?

Tank size/ wc schedule?

Is he/she kept in isolation?

He is fed krill, market shrimp, mussels, clams, octopus, cuttle fish... He's also just started eating massivore.

I have marble crays growing out for him too.

Right now he's in a 110 with a large clay pot... but he doesn't really hide in it. That's just where he likes to poop. haha.

He gets 50% every other day with sand sifted as well.

He's housebroken?
