Careful about increasing your temp etc. until you work out what it is (doesn't sound like ich to me). If its bacterial, increasing your temp will in fact be detrimental as it will increase the bacterial activity/growth...pic would help a lot.

how is the fish doing? did you quarantine it? it doesnt sound like ick to me either. ick will look like grains of sugar all over it.. I would isolate it, add salt and start melafix and pimafix'ing it.. see how it does a few days after that-if the ulcer looks like it is healing.
