The one with the puffy throat is eating normally?

Usually when they are holding they might squeeze in a brine shrimp here and there, I've even seen one confuse pellets with eggs, but they don't eat normally as they did before holding.

it could be good to separate her so she could raise them with no abuse or stress so she doesn't spit them, but if not, just hope for the best, usually africans are pretty good parents, defending from other predators.

it will also take about 3 weeks give or take for her to let them start swiming freely so just be aware of that time frame.

is there any way to save the little ones from being eaten when they are born? i know when i throw feeder guppies in the tank its carnage, so i can only imagine what they would do to a fleet of baby labs. is there like a seperator for a 55 gallon that i could get to ensure the health of these little guys? and will the mother eat them? or can i leave her in with them?
