Yellow labridens

Rusty is one of the few sources of pure yellow labridens...that's where the vendor that cchhcc was referring to gets them from.

I had pleasure to see the wild juveniles he collected in his fish room before they started breeding. stunning fish...he offered me some for $25 each but I didn't have that much on me at the time.

I was lucky enough to meet him last summer and see his fish house. The breeders were awesome, but, I didn't give them as much time as I should have He has WAY too many cool things in that place!

hell yes he does....a 265 gallon planted tank for colonies of every thorichthys species....that he personally caught in the wild. that alone is enough to stare at for hours

This fish is next on my list and I would only order from Rapps just because of the Fry from Rusty. I may have to go ahead and get some now after reading this thread. Like others have stated this fish has been known to be sold as hybrids so look into the person you're buying from and be caucious.

We just had Rusty speak at our club here in Winnipeg yesterday. What an eye opener on what is going on in MX with fish and habitat! He brought a few of the yellows for our auction. . . I know where they ended up, great home! Rusty's advice was to keep em warm (low 80's) and don't over feed.

I picked up a group of fry that Rusty had thrown in the auction. Also picked up some of his paratheraps melanurum fry.

His presentation was rather impressive!

I might have to get some now also w/ everyone talking about them. I just got some Melanurum fry from Rapps a few weeks ago.

I'd be willing to bet those came from Rusty as well. And pretty much all Thorichthys that Jeff offers, it is my understanding, come from Rusty.
