Something to consider as well maybe some plants of some sort to break line of sight from other fish that are chasing each other...

They will destroy live plants but plastic ones with a nice base will be ok.

And how do you fix a pinched belly? not sure what that means. A sunken belly typically means a female holding that hasn't eaten or a male that is just getting beat on constantly..........the females will recover with time. Males are tougher without more females to disperse the aggression. Subdominat males sometimes will starve to death fro the stress of a dominant male.........

Great point. Anything to provide seperation can help. Rock is preferred but not necessary. Territories are key regardless of how you get there.

I've found that by having the largest pile in the middle makes it easiest to break line of sight and deal with aggression. Also I completely remove and re-arrainge my rockwork at least twice a year, it provides a good chance to deep clean everything and it creates new caves and habitats and resets any territorial claims than anyone has. I try not to do it when I have females holding though, which can be difficult sometimes since they mate like a pair of unsupervised teenagers.

"they mate like a pair of unsupervised teenagers.".....

ain't that the truth. Ive had to pull the rock about once a month to keep the numbers at bay. I recently skipped a few and had close to 70 fish in there lol. Breeding is not the problem.......curbing is an art I've yet to master
