Ahaha funny ya say that cuz I actually have a few of them as well have a thread up to find how and what's best to breed them as well as how to tell em apart... Pease post in other thread if ya have advice don't wanna mix threads up haha

The only way to know male from female is to vent them as said above. Another thing to know is that these fish, both labs and zebras, are best kept in groups with at minimum, a 1M/2F ratio.

EDIT: I know you are only interested in breeding for feeders, but I'm not sure about that Red Zebra. It should have teh mouth protruding like that. I suspect it might be a hybrid.

Ya after takin a real good look at my pure bred red zebra in another tank I can see this one must be a hybrid zebra IMO...

But how do ya vent a fish ? Is there a special way ? And basically that sounds like it the only way for labs eh ? So I have 3 yellow labs then lol..

I actually youtube'd a video and from what I got is that females have a bigger vent hole then the anal hole, and males are the same size is that correct ?

Anyd by using the method from the video I found seems I have 2 F and 1 M but my male has been beating the living poop outta one one female damn near killed her, but won't bother with the other F ? ... Could also be aggression from the hybrid zebra that's in that tank too have them seperated right now till the hurt one is all healed up and better

I have labs and zebras and they mix and now I have allot of zebra labs.
