It most likely does, I've seen a pretty wide variation in pattern with ornates. Mine has a creme color and a widely spread pattern (pic, def gotta get better pics of this guys) but I've seen some that are very white in the pattern. Also larger groupings of smaller spots, while mine has a widely spread pattern and large dots. There is really a good bit of variation in Ornates I feel is underapprectiated

Mines yellow and black. The only time when mine is "cream" is when I moved her from my 75 to my 180, and one time when some hair dye residue was on the tip of my hose that I use to fill up the bucket during a water change. I'm sure there is natural variation, however, I only own one ornate so my opinions are based off that fact.
Haha I will take pics with a reg camera and no flash, under reg led lighting to show the difference. I do not put camera tricks into the pics I post of our fish. This pic is simple fish removed from stock tank, put in a small holding tank, remote flash on top, fish back in reg stock tank.
Oh man I really can't wait for my order, been having some money issues so I haven't been able to get it in yet :/ but it will happen! I'm more excited for this guy and the BV endli then I was for my tatf (rip). I really hope i can manage to breed the yellow ornate and my normal one if they end up being male n female
