OK lets complicate things a bit more here. How about water temp Vs. longevity and growth rate.
For example I have heard that in Texas a Walleye can reach 10 lb in as little as 5 years and seldom live past 10 years. Up here a fish that size may be 25 yrs or older. Or even a more extreme example, Lake trout, in the southern end of thier range they may be 30lb in 5 years and not live past 15 years but in the far north they may take nearly a century to reach that size!
If we keep out tanks near the upper end of a fishes prefered temp range do they grow quicker and die sooner?
