very nice Bro ...Hey I am just curious you have a battery powered air pump on what i am guessing is lake or pond water in you tub have you taken a hydrometer to any of the water with the bubbles on top of this pic and your other thread my guess would be rather heavey salinity ????????Hugh

no i never took a hydrometer but the site i fish at are pretty west of the coast so i'm pretty sure the salt level is next to nothing...i'm very close to the everglades...plus my favorite spots are locked so there's no influx of brackish water...

I would still be curious to know these that you are catching look extremely healthy and i from experimenting back and forth on my p's tank use salt by the cup ful and they love it .....and of coarse tons of bogg wood witch i am sure there is tons of that in you lakes water ....

I think it is more to do with the pH rather than salt level. Also the hardness of the water as well.

Pretty cool catch and very healthy water you are fishing.

HKN, do you ever keep the really nice ones for your personal tank or are they just boring for you since they're so many available?

i do keep a few but in general i'll release or what's i'm doing lately is catch and relocate. the cold snap last year took out most of the pbass in my county including lakes around me.

i'm restocking them, hoping to get them back to the huge population they once had :)
