my cuda is a yellowtail and he is always one of the first ones to get the silversides i put in or he steals them from my needlenoses mouth they are pretty easy to take care of and yellowtails get bigger than reds

What types of fish would work well with two 7'' yellow tail barracudas? Currently i have 2 cudas and a pleco in a 120gallon

larger silverdollars, red tailed payara, juvi juruense catfish, jurapari cichlid, pictus catfish, small peacock bass, large 6-7 inch lima shovelnose catfish, and try redtail or other barracuda species like falactus only if ur yellowtails are on the aggresive side like mine for other cudas i currently own 2 juvi armatus, three common silverdollars,1 spotted silverdollar, jurapari with my 8 inch yellowtail and i plan on adding an altus cuda and juruense also to my growout until the very big tank is setup these are just the south american species u could add

well ive had mine for about 4 months now and he hasnt grown very much compared to my other fish but still a fun fish to have

I currently have 5 yellowtails. I have kept a lone red tail and he grew to 6 inches and jumped tank. The group is much more calm than the lone fish. I just got my yellow tails and they ate 10 rosy reds the firsty night. They ate 3 of them instantly right in front of me. Im looking forward to growing these guys up! Not trying to hijack but does anyone have any feeding tips?

ive been keeping yellow tails and payara scomb in the same tank for a year lol both of them like to swim together as a small group and hunt for food together dont know why lol

I currently have two red tails , two mosaic gar and just picked up a yellow tail two days ago. I think you are spot on about the feeding habits. My reds are vicious. The gar eat a fair share of feeders and so far the yellow just stares at the feeders swim by. He occasionally joins the red tails in the school and they accept. I just hope the little guy starts eating.
