Yellow-tail Payara

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well, here are some pics of one of my old redtails that was completely sliver and black. Again, that is the trouble with common names. There are many varients within a species depending on locality. It was with other redtails, so you can see the difference in color.

About a half an inch a month with perfect conditions (extra waterchanges, etc.) and power feeding. Too bad my old lacerdae wolffish ate him. Would have been cool to see how he would have turned out. He'd probably be the same size as my armatus now.

Mine is growing close to an inch a month. I do weekly 50% water changes and he eats 6-8 med sized feeders a week.

I have three of marineland 1140 powerheads pushing 300gph each, two marineland bio-wheel 330HOBs, one Rena XP3, and a DIY w/d doing 7-800gph on my 125.

krs, i dont know if ive seen ur armatus. u have any current pics? mine is growin sooo fast ive only had him less then 2 months and he went from 5 inches to about 8 or 9 inches, hes almost as long as my vulpinus ive had for 2 years. theyre all togeother and icurrently added an atf. how big and old is ur armatus?
