i just got done doing some well needed weed whacking in the backyard and i dislodged what looks like a yellowjacket nest. It wasn't in the ground but rather in the heavy underbrush, well needless to say i destroyed it on accident with the weedwacker and now they're swarming the 20 foot area or so. any ideas on what to do? will they just leave since the nest is destroyed? i was going to go get some spray but i seem to remember that being a straight shot of foam and i wouldn't know where to direct it since theyre flying everywhere. on the upside were freezing or near freezing temperatures at night here right now so will that just kill them off tonight? id like to stay away from hiring exterminators if at all possible.

Get the spray and give them a good dousing at night when they are asleep,or,see if the cold snap kills them.

Yep,that's when I took out the hive that was up in the outside corner of my sons bedroom window.

Well I just didn't run by aerosol attack with bee spray didn't seem to phase them much. I'm going to go buy yellow jacket spray when I go dinner shopping and attack tonight

Get the right stuff it will work,I can't remember the name of it but I got it at HD...It has a long stream too for a nice attack from a safe distance.
