^ Yep, and it sucks too. I looked at a couple areas with HOAs and will never move into one because of the crud you can get into with all those stupid rules. I feel for you, but I have a gut feeling that even if you get them off your back this time, they will nit pick something else asap.

i asked the exact question of what an hoa can actually do. when we lived in cali we were told nothing. they can threaten, fine, do all kinds of BS but when it comes down to it they are really powerless. i don't see the sheriff coming to evict you for "__________" fill in the blank with any hoa doesn't like me reason. i hope it works out for you.

It's time to move. If they don't get us out for twisting my fish obsession, they'll keep coming back with other reasons.
Fact is - they have the money to keep this up& I do not.

No quickcrete in the toilets... That'll be screwing the landlord over, not the association. Maybe I'll come up with another childish prank to get them. But, I don't wanna burn the landlord.
