I know people might not agree with this but I think it looks amazing. So I got these massive swords and ferns this weekend. I upped my lighting and planted the tank. I will be dosing frets weekly after water changes. The tank is a 7 foot 290 gal tank with a big internal powerhead connected to some sponge filters aswell as an internal sump which works pretty dam well, the sump also has lots of indoor plants with their roots growing into the sump to control nitrates. The tank has my dovii pair at 8 and 9 inches then 3 Midas at about 2 inches which were meant to be dithers or just a snack but the dovii do not seemed to be worried with them their is also a Pleco in the tank. To top it all off the day after I added the dovii, they layer, their previous tank was a 6 foot but I never had any successful spawns with the eggs always being disturbed. But this can be expected with a young pair. The male 3 weeks ago was badly injured from getting stuck in a ornament which I had to bread open, his body was badly torn up nut his recovered extremely well just with his fin still healing and a scar on his side.
