Yes,bichirs have teeth

The teeth you may or may not have seen on the marginal jaws of Polypterids are solely for the purpose of securing food.They also
posess a babred tongue and 2 gular plates on the bottom of the mouth
for compressing foods and then the real teeth used to reduce the food and start the digestive process.Of course there will be one of my famous

I spent a lot of time in my lil library lately.It actually more involved than i said it
includes hunting,capturing and manipulating *handling and gape limitation oh its a page turner lol

*Hnadling includes all post capture activity including digestion and the eventual
elimination of unuseable material(feces)

Are there different gape limitations for different species?

It seems that my delhezis have a much larger gape than the ornates or moke, but not as wide as the lapradei.
