Awesome tank! I love the parrots w the xingu, have some in with my kelberi grow-outs too :D

Whoa those bp clusters in pic 1 and 3 are pretty cool.....and as for the bass I think the results of that glass filter speaks for itself

I love your photos, I NEVER get tired of seeing that tank. I'm sorry I may have asked this before, but what do you feed those fish?

Do you have to use seperate foods for the parrot fish? What temp do you keep that tank at? Do you have to gravel-vac a lot?

Evertime I see your pics I like blood parrots more and more, to the point of actually thinking about getting some, someday.

haha.....I knew you guys would come around. BP never get the respect they deserve.
This whole tank is only filtered by the glass filter. Backwash everytime I do a WC. I never vac the gravel. Tank is 30" deep so would be a pain if I had to. Temp at 80.
I throw Hikari Cichlid Gold in first for the BP and then Massivore for the pbass. Sometimes the BP would eat what comes out of the pbass' butt.
@Damon...bet the BP would stop your orino fighting problem.

And you wonder why they get no respect?

I love this combo, really nice grade bp too.

ohhhh. so true! Ken you might as well make some f2s. The masses will do it soon. I bet a lot of the "wc" xingu's we have seen fs are really f1s or f2s. We have a few guys in the US breeding them and I bet they get sold and re-sold again as "wc". Its seems that is the new trend. Im sure its not a new trend....but its sure finding its way into cichla. Just like the kelzuls. They were claimed to be "wc" and to never be offered again. But why am I seeing them available again? Ive been lurkn on some singapore fish websites lately and those guys can breed a dollar bill. Especially w/ those nice tr0pical temps and water. Toss em in a pond and they"ll spawn eventually. Go amuse yourself....check out their classifieds and you'll see what im talkn about.

Love your pics Ken! Your bass are top notch! Cant wait to see that cichla pond/green house. Or hekk....a monster tank. But the pond would be waaay cooler.

ps...if i could find quality bp's id grab a few just for you :)

Why would I want to breed them when I can't even get rid of these WC?
