so im thinkn about buying a baby jardini for my tank.
i know jardini is known as a solo fish.
but i have seen many with tankmates.
just wondering hows everyone elses luck?
and if yes wins! i wont stop until i get that peaceful jardini.
and dont suggest a leichartdi. i have owned many leichartdis be4
i think jardinis look much better.

i have a 3.5" jardini in with 2 mating dempsey's and a NTT gold dat. but if i feel he will attack them at all he will be by himself.

my lfs has a real big one with three salmon cats and 5 black widow tetras

i have a jar thats under 4" living with two larger severums. Dunno if it will turn on them soon.

my jardini is aggressive with the 2 oscars i put him in with. it worked eventually once he realized they were no threat and dominant. I'm hoping his behavior remains the same towards buddies in his environment.

Yes and no. Only the bichirs, synodontis and doradid catfish were spared from the wrath of my jardini when I had them before.

Well mine is now 7" and is kept with 3 senegals,2 loaches and 1 BGK...

so far so good... let see what happens as he grows up...

mine is a 17" or so jar
which lives with mostly bottom dwellers, and usually kills any other mid level or top level dwellers without much trouble

does not even seem to spare smaller fish such as a the silver dollars or the salvini
but lets fish such as synos, small catfish, haven't tried loach yet

but recently had to remove a few of my silver dollars as the jar didn't like them

has killed a green terror, almost killed a jag (4"), ate a 9" brown knife, killed a 4" male after eating the 3"+ female of the breeding pair of convicts

so after all said and done, u can never say what might happen when it comes to monsters such as a jardini, so i would refrain from voting, as i still need a few more years before i can say that the jardini might be kept with tank mates(at least mine )

I'm keeping my jar with other aro species no problem. Jars have the same temper with asian aros. Some are docile some are aggressive.
thats interesting. every asian i have worked out in a comm. i guess jardinis dont like me very much.
