his color changed quick after i moved him. does the gravel affect the color?

Allegedly it does.

I did the same with my Midas and his gravel and he too seems more intense orange than before. Funny observation on mine, it almost seemed to make my Midas more "at home" in the orange/black combo. Kinda like it calmed him??...

Or I could just be on crack...

even your divider changed colors, adjust your camera.............

yeah substrate and back grounds can effect its color

fish try to blend in with the sub and background. But yes you should adjust your camera or make more light in the room and try to take a pic without the flash.

wow i love the color on your fish. I think its pretty awesome how they blend in with the scenery. Try different colors, like tiedie or w/evs. If it was mine, I'd put like a wavy blue and white gravel and background.
