I was inspired and i needed a stand for my newly acquired 125. Ive gathered everyone's DIY stands from here and took some ideas here and there. This is my very first time attempting to do wood work. So thank you MFK. Here are some pics. Started yesterday. Bought a Very old school Makita Miter saw for 30 bucks and x12 2x4's and came out with this today.

Dimensions:
73"x19"x30"

Nice solid frame

Thanks. Im very happy that i got myself to do this project. Did not really want to pay for a full priced one. Spent 40 bucks on materials. Now im debating if i should leave it as is or add paneling, cabinets, and trim.

As my dad says, if you are going it to do something, do it right. Go ahead and make a sexy stand, we want a show tank ;)

wow thanks! i have been wondering on how to build the stand for my 125, cant wait for measurements!

K, i dont have a paint program so I am using Photobucket to edit. I just labeled the pictures Barney style. I hope this helps.

Dimensions of Stand: 73x19x30 (LxWxH)

Materials used:
10 - 2x4's
1- 4'x8' 1/2" plywood
1bx - 3" wood screws

1st pic is of the top and bottom frame.

2nd Step is attaching Uprights.

Measurements:
6 - 30" pieces
2 - 11" pieces
1 - 13" piece for middle

You can use 2 1/2" corner braces as i did at each corner and middle

3rd Step is 23" piece against the uprights so that the Top Frame can sit on it.

Measurements:
10 - 23" pieces

4th Step is adding the Top frame as seen below.

Then Lastly i bought a panel of 1/2" oak sanded plywood from Home depot and had them cut 2 pieces of 73x19 pieces.
