yet ANOTHER rbp noob question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i'll post pics as soon as i can. i have run into a slight problem tho. as i was looking for a tank in the online classifieds i found a guy selling one. tho my tank at the moment isnt big enough i couldnt stand to see that he was keeping it in a little 1 gallon jar with nothing more than an air stone. so now i have 3 in there. i watched them all for some time and you would never know that they hadnt been together all along...no nipping or anything. for those of you wanting to yet at me cause 20 gal isnt big enough for 3..yes i know this but it is better than what he was in

*correction* wanting to yell at me

sorry for the double post i dont see a way to edit it. i guess 2 days no sleep and typos are bound to happen

:clap for saving one from 1g jar, instead of searching for a 55g I would say go for a 75g which would be more suitable due to the extra width.

yeah ive increased the size im searching for. if i have to settle on a 55gal for now i guess it would be ok short term. i found a 75 gal for $100, which is about have what they go for where im from, when i was in florida last week but have no way to transport it home. i have a 1000 sq ft finished basement which im in the procees of building a "pond" in which will eventually be thier final home. once i get the conditions right in the water of course

what size will the pond be? try to build one with a large viewing window from the size. 75g for 100 is not bad, get it if you can

i looking at doing it 30' by 10' and 3' deep with it divided in the middle. so two 15 x 10 x 3

if those are the internal dimension then you'll have two 3371g pond, that would be bad @$$~!!!!

get some caribes and pirayas and try to get some breeding project going on. or just have one 6742g pond and try to breed some rhombeus.

even those are external dimensions that is still huge for piranhas. keep us updated

will be sure to keep you updated but i can tell you now it is going to be a long slow process

i hate when you say that..but i pretty much saw it coming, lol

ok i now have two 10 gal, one 15 gal, one 20 gal, one 30 gal and one 55 gal. im may be getting another 30 gal in the morning. any suggestions on what i should do with them. Right now i just have things like minnows(fishing) goldfish and a pretty little jewel cichlid that came with the 30 gal and of course the 3 rbp. Please understand i cant afford a bunch of $75 - $100 fish so something reasonable
