So I put my new female humerosa in the 100 gal 5 days ago and she seems okay, her color is good and she is active, but she isnt eating the silversides that I put in for her, (she had been feeding on silversides at the store, I saw her eating them) I noticed that she seemed to be breathing a little heavy and is constantly climbing up the glass, so I lowered the water level and let my powerhead run, (thats only temporary cause I know it stresses her out) but she still has not taken them. all my levels are perfect and the arowana in there doesn't bother her. I am going to pick up some night crawlers tomorrow and try that, (I dont want to do blackworms cause they are so messy) but other than that, does anyone have any tips or advice? is there any kind of chemical I can add to the water that increases appetite? I lost a tig earlier this year to a similar problem...:nilly::nilly:
Thanks.

fill the water back up, leave the lights off, how new is she? also if she is new go get some prazi pro, inject some into earth worms so that when she eats them she injects them and if she has internal parasites it gets rid of them

add some salt tonic treatment 1lb per 100 gallons... up your temp to 86 and keep the tank dark(cover it if neccisary) if she was feed on silver sides just keep trying them...

Okay, I will try that, do you think the salt or temp will mess with my arowana? that seems like alot of salt.

i think im gonna also give this garlic stuff a shot, the weiss organic kind. its worth a shot, anyone know how it works with rays?

instead of earthworms you might try to locate the smaller "trout" worms.....
