Bobcat are pretty cool looking cats, when I lived up north there used to be some in the woods up the mountain by my house - I saw them a time or 2.

Yeah, they are pretty neat, but dont really make the best pets. They need to be outside 80% of the time.

Servals FOR THE WIN!

They are just so awesome. After I have my coatimundi for a year, I plan to get a serval. I would get the serval first, but I have been told that its better to raise the serval with other animals then to have an adult serval then try and introduce an animal.

I would like to add it would be awesome if I could get a Ringtail, but unfortunately that means I would have to move to a place that allow the Bassariscus genus.

Ringtail Cats are really cool, If you cant get that, why not an Ocelot? Relatively the same in size.

I cannot decide Wether to get a Serval, Caracal, or Bobcat/Lynx as my first exotic. I'm liking the Caracal and Lynx alot more.

As in Revolver Ocelot? That would be awesome, although I don't think I can retain him.

In a lot of places, non-domesticated cats are not permitted, and unfortunately Alberta is a place where that occur. The only thing that I can probably come close to an exotic animal that is cat-like is probably a weird breed of dog or ferret.

I think it has to go through at least 3 generations and maybe a cross to allow you to keep cats such as ocelots, looked it up a while ago, can't remember now though.

Why not Get an F1 Savannah, or a Jungle Cat? From what I hear theyre allowed as they arent truly exotic? Not sure, you'd have to look into that yourself as I dont know Canadian laws, but in my state The onylt hing that requires permits is Big Cat species.

Think they've been changing laws recently to any feline species you can't have unless its a domesticated house cat, or a hybrid... at least that's what they are proposing for over here.
