the overflow box makes the noise. it's just the water dropping in through the teeth. what do you guys think about me putting biomedia in the sump area where the pump is?

it seems to be ok, however, the waterlevel in my sump went down overnight. it went down about 4". it didnt overflow anything.
the water level is staying where it is now after the initial drop. will it stay at this level? does the size of the pump and my 2 overflow tubes determine the water level in my sump?
Make sure there is not a restriction in your overflows. They will only flow what the pump returns. Is the water level in the tank level with the overflows? If not, you may need to downsize the pump.

there are 2 1" jtubes going into an overflow box that runs 2 tubes of 1" ID down to the wet/dry. (they may be wider than that but not by much). the return pump is going through a 5/8 tube. it's a mag700
do i need to change anything? the water level in the pics of the sump has stayed steady. should i put more water in there? do i need to adjust my overflow box?
