Hello; As I am one who moved this thread away from the OP’s initial topic, I did a search. Here are five links. I tried to pick sources from both sides. The first two are pro vegan and near as I could tell do not mention any negative aspects.
The Wikipedia address both sides to some degree.
The last two point out the negative aspects to a greater degree. I did find one paragraph in the last one gratifying.

I read those links, and yes they do make compelling arguments for both vegan and non vegan. However one caught my eye, the paleoleap.com stated that veganism is not good for your health or the planet, and they strongly suggest you only eat meat that is free range and able to eat what it wants when it wants. This, to me is alot like a meat eaters wishful thinking, yes it would be great if all animals were treated well, free range and lived a happy, if short, life to benefit us humans. However if all cows, never mind sheep, pigs or chickens, were farmed this way, it would require all of the US, including Canada and Mexico to be used sole for cattle farming. That's simply impossible. The fact is regardless if wether we are meant to eat meat or not, or whether it's cruel, or whatever side of the vegan argument you are on, we as a species are eating too much meat. I'll freely admit that a balanced diet of fruit vegetables and meat, is healthy, albeit in my opinion the meat isn't necessary, but you eat too much. The average American eats 9oz of meat a day, when you could have a varied balanced diet with only 2oz of meat a day. So maybe that could be the compromise, I'll stay veagn along with the rest that choose to be vegan also, and the rest cut down significantly on meat.

Lets bump this comedic gem up for everyone to see.

Paleo diets are also retarded, perhaps the one glaring hole in the theory of "eating like a caveman"; is that, in fact; we are not cavemen.

Discuss.

I agree with the eating like a caveman thing, we evolved for a reason.
However if you want to discuss diets whether they are fad diets or not, this wasn't my intent. If you don't have the desire to change or consider an alternative way of eating and living by this point in your lives I'm not going to change your opinions, however I do know that everyone can change, I did for the better. But don't dismiss something you don't fully understand.

don't say your change was for the better when you can't possibly know yet.

From all i have read, the best diet for you has allot to do with where your ancestors are from. and I mean a few thousand years back. not that it matters to me, I am going to eat what I want, when I want it. lucky for me I am euro decent. we love our meat and potatoes.

I think this thread has passed it's prime.
