This is another example of the torture fish are put through to satisfy our need to be unique. It's a horrible practice as described by Knifegill, most fish die from the process or at best live shortened lives due to it. Anytime you see a fish sold as a "Blueberry Oscar" or some other clever name to market the fish it is a victim of this type of torture, quality stores with any reputation or respect for the hobby will not carry this type of fish. I think the woman selling this fish is also a victim of naively buying into this type of deceptive marketing and unfortunately doesn't know any better. I don't think she's an idiot I think she misinformed.
Raravivity is a pretty cool word, I'll have to use it some time. Maybe the meaning could be a uniquely bright color, we could go with that, an MFK word is born!
