In some respects yes I do believe he is a "crappy owner"; however you can see that the water looks extremely clean and were it not for adequate conditions I doubt a fish would have grown to that size in that tank. All the fish keeper needs to do now is either sell it on to a responsible keeper with adeqate space or buy a new tank.

It makes me wonder if the fish really grew to that size in that tank. I would think there is a higher possibility that he bought it close to that size and put it in that tank. I don't really know. I agree hes a crappy fish keeper tho.

Possibly but the saying that "fish only grow to the size of the tank" is a myth that really annoys me!
 
that's how i got my jardini. the guy had it in a small tank and i guess it was swimming backward to turn. it had major gill curl. feel sorry for the fish. had to rescued it from a bad owner.
