Amongst the Catfish & Plecos
Never thought I'd say this, but I might have reached a point where i have too many fish. I thought it would be funny to swap stories of the moments where you start questioning if your hobby has gotten out of control.

Yesterday I was doing a water change and moved some of the pipes around and was like "What the hell is that?!?" I realized I was looking at a Pterodoras granulosus catfish, and it took me a few moments to figure out where it came from. I finally remembered I picked it up about 2 months ago, and its been happy, healthy and obviously eating well as it is nice and fat. Its not that the tank had been neglected, I just forgot to look for it... Oops!

I know I can't be the only one on this website that has had a fleeting moment where you have secretly questioned whether or not you might have too many fish. :D

Edit: Although I did spend a bit of time looking for a large tank today. So, it was a momentary laps in judgment. I don't have too many tanks, I just need a bigger one!

You need your own "lost and found" department! :D :ROFL::ROFL:

No loach problem. I do have a snail problem. At least, it's balanced.

I havn't gotten to that stage with tanks yet, but some of the stuff I find under my bed is questionable.

I'm hoping to resurrect this thread. I know there are people out there with great stories! When was your moment of realization that your hobby is 'a bit' extreme?

* When I'm driving at 11:00pm @ night to pick up fish and have to get up the next morning @ 5am for work.

* When my freezer is full of dead fish instead of food

* Have fish delivered at work and people look at you like your some crazy SOB

* Going to LAX Cargo to pick up a fish past midnight
