I wasn't into playing board games as a kid but I sure don't remember any aliens having anything to do with it.The game was based on warring naval ships from different countries,as I understood it.The movie has nothing to do with the game by the looks of things and if anything,they should have given it a different title......Darius,that clip you offered looks too much like a soap opera,I couldn't sit throught that.The theater ushers would drag me out of my seat or snoring too loudly.

I love most of Kevin Smith's work, especially his Q&A session. Watching the new one now lol.

Lame they can;t make anything original or interesting anymore. They went through videogames, comic books/super heroes, 80s cartoons, and now onto board games. I don't support any of it. As soon as I heard they were making this movie I immediately thought it was stupid. Why even call it battleship? When they make these movies based off something with past success they attempt to just milk the fans but what they do is make it nothing like the original. I wish people wouldn't fall for this crap and stop going to the movies until they produce something that is quality.

well, seeing how it's some naval ships battling robots.....i'm not sure why we're crapping on it for being based on a board game because it's really not. the tie in is the board game was based on naval war far in the year 2012 and voila, it's 2012. i'm a sucker for great special effects, i could care less what a movie is based on, just give me the eye candy!

that battleship movie is way too dumb for me. Sorry but i prefer movies where i have to think. And how do you know i watched Titanic? Because im a fan of the ship. Well news for you, that actual happened and the movie is hated from titanic fans, because it has a ****load of mistakes.
