I hope you got the ticket still and didnt hand it over to the store. Or else that guy probably told his boss to screw him self and is laughing himself to the bank.
 
Yea, that seems kind of strange. I hope you kept the ticket! Find out directly from the lottery people.

seriously i didnt think that was possible for things like that.
although i found a check the other day for 50quid...not alot but would have made a diff to me then lol but it was dated 2003 lol

edit: ooohhh just thought, dont know if this has already been posted, but cant u go to another gas station buy the same card but then take in the old one? then if they say its too old say they have to pay out coz u just bought it from them and u can see on cctv lol

Each card has a number and serial number (they can track how many winners have been scratched off already and what amount, alot of places post them so you can see what your chances are of winning the big amount). They'd easily know which one came from that gas station

lol was all i could come up with at the time....seemed like a good idea to me :D
 
Yeah I made sure I kept the ticket so he couldn't claim it lol. But On the back it says something like "Prize must be claimed within 180 days of the end of the game" and the ticket is probably more than a year old..... I am going to call but it's not like they are going to have any sympathy. They just saved $50,000
