So.. Does anyone on MFK write or have a book published? I'm looking for info on how to get a book published. Any help on where to start is great.

My Grandfather that passed on in 04' was a children's author. He wrote 6 books, and they were all published and sold at some major bookstores. He liked to write christmas stories and short stories and things of that sort, making references to all of his grandchildren as the "characters" in the books, pretty cool imo. I have TONS of sets of books, boxes upon boxes if anyone would like some

before sending it to a publisher, make a copy. Put the original in an envelope and the copy in a different one. Get both of them time/date stamped at the post office. Then mail the publisher the copy. In case they steal your book, you have the original time stamped to show it was yours first. A professor taught me this.
