My Grandfather that passed on in 04' was a children's author. He wrote 6 books, and they were all published and sold at some major bookstores. He liked to write christmas stories and short stories and things of that sort, making references to all of his grandchildren as the "characters" in the books, pretty cool imo. I have TONS of sets of books, boxes upon boxes if anyone would like some :)
wow that awesome! Send me some.

What kind of book Aqua?

It's a medeival fiction story. It has a strange storyline that to me is very interesting. It wont be everyones cup of tea, but I'm in love with the story.

I still have a lot of work to do. When I'm done I'de like to send a few copies out to friends on mfk.

I have never attempted to write a book or anything meaningful like this. So far the friends that I have let proof-read certain parts say I am doing very well. I like the constructive criticism.

before sending it to a publisher, make a copy. Put the original in an envelope and the copy in a different one. Get both of them time/date stamped at the post office. Then mail the publisher the copy. In case they steal your book, you have the original time stamped to show it was yours first. A professor taught me this.
My grandfather told me to do exactly that.. He called it the poor mans copyright. The federal date holds up in court!

I will do it.

What was your grandfathers book and writers name? Perhaps I have read his books? I have been teaching elementary school for about 8 years now!

His name was William Robert McTaggart, he was the writer, and a buddy of his did all the illustrations. They were all childrens books, but he did write a seperate book called "Butternut Moon", there is a set of 3 in the main ones, and Butternut Moon as its own. One is called "A tiny pinch of courage", "Companion reader volume 3-5", "A treasury of 10 summertime children's stories." If anyone would like some, just PM me and we can work something out.

i'm writing a book :D i'm sure i told you once muhaha mine's a crime novel inspired by Agatha Christie woop woop hope it goes well hun xxxxxxx

I published my thesis proposal before. As for storybooks, sadly, I used to do that but outgrew it.lol I could write a novel someday but I rather spend my time on anything else.

I have 2 books half finished while I work on a novel I feel very passionate about. It's a fictional narrative based on a tragedy that happened in my family in 1915. I know, I probably should finish one before I start bouncing around different ones but this one is very important to me.

Good luck with your book! Give me a holler if you ever want to collaborate, I'll proof read yours and vice versa. One of the most important things you can do in writing!
