So 1 week ago i had removed this huge fake branch piece from my 125g. its the one they sell at pestmart big white branch. this ornament has a few small holes. favorite cave for my ropefish. well this was a week ago. i was feeding my fish yesterday and thought hey wheres my polypterus? i look all over cant find him. i figure hes in the other ornaments and caves. i dont think much of it. until it occurs to me. omg the branch ornament. i had put the ornament straight into a hefty bag i thought for sure if he was in there hes dead by now. but this thing was in my living it should have stunk by now. so this mroning i tell my husband take the bag outside and check it out. as soon as he lift up the bag we can clreay see a wiggle. it turns out the ornament had kept dripping water and formed a 3" long 1" deep puddle at the bottom of the bag. which kept the polypterus alive for a week. we put him back in the tank and it was as if nothing happened. perfectly fine. happy ending to what could have been a stupid death.

That's awesome right there! I'm always afraid something similar will happen to me but I won't be as lucky.
well its a few hours and he is absolutly fine. like nothing. i would say hes even more active than ever. he came to the top i fed him hes happy. When i plopped him back in though my oscar almost mistook him for a silver side :/ but he quickly put on the brakes lol
