Thanks. Didn't have a turkey baster so I used a 3/8" flexible tube. I got all but 4 out and they seem to be doing well. I would say I have 50-75 in a 10 gallon with sponge filter. They grazed on some crushed/soaked flake this am. The mom and dad and still doing their best to protect the fry that they have. It'll be interesting to see if they can be successful with having a smaller number to look after.Just the frys. Use a turkey baster to carefully vacuum them up
I'm glad you left some frys with the parents, to hone their parenting skills.
Try to do 30%-40% w/c daily on that fry tank. Even better, if you throw a pothos plant in that tank in addition to the w/c.
If those frys express the electric blue coloring, you should definitely be able to offer them up for some money or store credit at the lfs![]()
Cool. Thanks guys. Got some pothos in there and just picked up some Repashy fry food. I carefully did a water change today but is there any trick to do it safely without worrying about sucking up fry? It's impossible to vac the bottom since they're constantly be bopping around.I'm glad you left some frys with the parents, to hone their parenting skills.
