hi Liz. prob is, the tank is located in an area that is not very convenient to take pics. hope to be able to transfer them someday and will take pics by then (and they would all be grown up by that time, hopefully, fingers crossed) :)

Sorry to bring up an ancient thread but i have a couple questions.

i have 2 bahia's that just paired up and i was wondering if they lay the eggs in their mouths and hatch them there??? Also when is it safe to remove the fry? Any help would be much appreciated.

I'll bump an old thread on a rare, underappreciated, gem of a cichlid with a photo of my pair taken a couple months back:

This is one of my favorite fish. They like with synspilum, carpintis and other mildly aggressive Central Americans with no problem. I kind like the fact that not too many people have these as well.... Hehe.
