You don't need to add greens if the main diet is NLS. Herbivores do great on a diet of only NLS.
Since Oscars are Carnivores, if anything, I would add a higher protein pellet or frozen foods.
That being said, he will still be fine on just NLS.
That's wrong, a lot of people think they're carnivores but they're not. They're omnivores and need veggies/greens in their diet. In the wild the eat plant matter and the main part of their diet is crayfish (which are filled with plant matter).

Good call I read that this morning I wish I would have checked on the thread before my hour of studying them lol :D

Another thing I found really cool was in a study of fish eyesight, it was Oscars they studied because their eyesight is so good. I'm still looking for the bookmark cuz I know someone's going to jump up and say "prove it!" lol

lol I want to see it thats pretty cool! I read in aquarium fish that they were doing a study on the eyesight of the blue acara .

I like to keep a balanced diet. Any good quality pellet with occasional veggies and meaty food is fine. My oscar loves peas, lettuce, green beans, zuchini, earthworms, tilapia, market shrimp. I swap every day between veggies and meaty treats.

Yes, they are omnivores. You were so quick to prove me wrong, however, that you overlooked the main point of my post.:grinno:

Herbivores do great on a diet of exclusively NLS. Therefore, NLS has enough greens in it that you would not have to suppliment it with other greens.

Do you understand, or did this go over your head again?

You are incredibly rude and I have no idea why you got so hostile.
I seriously doubt ANY 1 pelleted food has enough of anything to be fed solely.
Feel free to assume I won't be responding to you again.
Not to mention in your post you DID state Oscars are carnivores. To which I told you that you were wrong.
