Hello,
I have 4 Young Snakeheads:

- Channa Blerehi (Rainbow Snakehead)
- Channa Pulchra (Burmese Snakehead)
- Channa Ornatipinnis (Spotted Burmese Snakehead)
- Channa Lipor (New Breed - Lipor Snakehead)

I feed my other fish Lancefish, Bloodworm and prawns twice a day but I dont know how much to feed these young Snakeheads. I would like to know how much they need feeding now while theyre young and how much they need feeding when theyre adult, Also what food is best for snakeheads.

I have been told feed my snakeheads worms but im worried about parasites;
I fed worms to my piranhas once before and soon found tiny white worms in the water.

Thanks
Danny

Are you having a laugh on these forums or what?
You now have an ornatipinis?
So 4 snakeheads, that are all in the same tank, but you say this is only temporary as you are going to put with your OSCARS!!!

Come on man!
Where are the pics!

Maybe you should start off with a bleheri before you make anymore Channa no no's!

this is just my .02 , i have owned a couple dwarf snake heads in the past few years and i found they have a pretty good appatite, i fed mine feeders, shrimp, blood worms, earthworms, if i fed mine feeders they wouldnt eat for 2 days , but if i fed them anything els that i listed they would eat a fair bit. hope that helps a lil.

yes it does thanks i think ill feed them once a day but if they have eaten alot, i have been told that once every day will be more than enough

Also, what do you make of feeding them earthworms because when i fed my piranhas these small white parasitic worms appeared in the tank, would these harm the snakeheads?

ill get the pics now to prove i have them all in the 1 tank

k thanks, by the way, they arnt rainbows theyre blue assam.
I now have 3 Assam and 1 Pulchra, im looking to buy either another Pulchra or an Ornatipinnis.

danny do us a favour put me in the spot light please.....before you said you have
Hello,

now today you say you have "I now have 3 Assam and 1 Pulchra, im looking to buy either another Pulchra or an Ornatipinnis" do not get anymore if this is true to cram in the same tank, this will lead to certain disaster mate, ornatipinnis and pulchra will deffo fight as they look so much alike and sp assam's are much more laid back,it will probally work for a few weeks wilst young but once they start to mature all hell will break loose...

They arnt crammed in 1 tank, the pulchra has a tank of its own and the 3 assam are in a tank of their own. (a sp. tank) Also, Pulchra and Ornatipinnis do get on well together, As i have seen proof of this twice in B.A.S and another shop, as they kept Adult Pulchra in with Ornatipinnis, this works as long as their are plenty of plants and hides.

Are you for real?
You stated earlier in the thread you were "going to prove they are all in one tank".

You have absolutely no idea about keeping channa.
Practically every thread you make is laughably wrong.

Ornatipinis and pulchra is a bad mix. take it from all of us knowledgable channa keepers here.

Stop making a fool of yourself.

Oh and where is the "galaxy" photo?
