Heh. That's my red devil Rambo and me. He's not really a midas, probably a mix.

Here he is the next day after I caught him.

He did stay pretty red once acclimated, but never like the day I caught him.

This one that another RD'er posted in the Devil Club thread: Great body, color and "attitude". The "soft focus" and slight off-centering just makes the photo even better IMO. I've had it as my desktop background for about a week now.
Also, the magnificent yellow specimen photographed by Klaus Paysan on p. 152 of Ad Konings' Cichlids from Central America (not shown here).
