I'm requesting any and all comments/info and opinions on my tank. I have finally finished with it and collected all the fish i was wanting. tell me what you think (fish compatibility, decor, set up and anything else you can thing of) I know i will be severely overstocked soon but i plan to remove around 10-12 of the african cichlids as soon as everyone starts showing their colors, the 4 loaches, peacock eel, and snails will spend the summers outside in the pond.
I have a 150g long with 2 350 biowheels, 1 cascade 1500 (rated 200g at 350gph) and 2 250w stealth heaters. I use the cascade 1500 for mechanical filtration and the 2 350s for bio and more mechanical. The tank has silica sand and 'rainbow rock' and 1 large piece of driftwood. one of the biowheels is an old 330 with the baskets in that back which i filled with crushed coral. pH stays at 7.8-8.0. my current stock is as follows:
1-Cyphotilapia frontosa --4"
1-Julidochromis marlieri--2.5"
3-Placidochromis phenochilus--1.5"
3-Otopharymx lithobates--1"
3-Aulonacara benga--1"
3-Cyrtocara Moorii--2"
2-Copadochromis borleyi--2"/4"
1-Pseudotropheus crabro--3"
1- Pseudotropheus sp. zebra--2"
3- Pseudotropheus sp. acei--1"/2"
1-Pseudotropheus socolofi--1"
1-Pseudotropheus demasoni--1"
3-Labidochromis careoleus --1"/2"
1-Labidochromis mbamba--1.5"
1-Metraclima lombordoi--2.5"
1-Metraclima callianos--2"
1-Melanochromis johanni--2.5"
1-Nimbochromis venustus--2"
1- OB Peacock--1.5"
3-Clown Loach--1.5/2.5"
1-Yoyo Loach--3"
1-Peacock Eel---6"
1-Mono sebae--2"
1-Flounder--1"
1-Clown Pleco--2.5"
1-Madtom Catfish--2.5"
3- F. Betta--1"
6-Apple Snails
I plan to remove all females of dimorphic fish as soon as they show color. The crabro will probably go along with 2 each of the yellow lab and acei when they get bigger.
