your dream tank.....

I want a moat surrounding the house with viewing windows in one corner of the basement. Fill it with giant barramundi and a few other aussie natives.

Id love to fill it with exotic species but the law wont allow it, plus the heating bill would be huge!!:nilly:

The best thing about this dream is that my partner said yes!:headbang2 Weve been slowly getting plans together over the past 12 months so look out for a massive build thread in 5 years or so.
 
I'll have a go.

I want a tank about 4-5' tall and 12-14' long on the ground. A viewing window about 3.5-4.5' high by 10' foot long. The tank is about 10-12' wide. sticking out of the water is a 'forest planted on land that makes the back look like a river bank rising out of the water. In the back right corner is a small cascade of water running down into the tank making a natural river flow. A large 'fallen' tree and huge real rocks.

Lighting is done by a sky light in the roof. Livestock, angels, geos, discus, tetras, hatchets, pipefish, and a mother school of cories.

Perhaps a dwarf caiman. or a herp or six in the forest. and with the flip of a switch on comes the jungle sounds mp3. Lying in my hammock with a cold one watching it.

*sigh* If only wishes were fish tanks.
