Your experience with tinfoil barbs as dithers

Why? You cannot add more? Specially the red-tailed one only? 2 more will do. How fast to they grow by the way? I have collected conflicting numbers.
 
I need to get some more but I only see really small 2"ers for sale here. They grow REALLY fast. my smallest ones are the same size as the largest one was when I got him. so getting some really good growth rate from them.

Tbh it would be interesting to buy like 25 of them and have a full shoal as display
 
ya, they are pretty cool schooling fish. But the eat alot. And are fast eaters.
 
I had to get rid of my 2 tin foil barbs, one of them took a chunk out of my gold severum's tail. The severums and parrots seem more calm since I removed the 2 barbs. I hope you have a really large tank for them they need a lot of room. Mine were in a 150 and that seemed too small for them. They are about 8" long.
 
Everytime I've used them they get killed. But, I've used them more for target fish for breeding CA Cichlid pairs
