Your favorite cat(s)

for me it has to be oxydoras niger, the mother of snails catfish. Able to grow to massive sizes, this doradid surely is immense. Ive never had one, or a tank big enough, so sorry but i dont have pics, but long term ambitions involve setting up a tank especially for at least one. Its unusual for such a large cat to be on the peaceful side, meaning tankmate selection can be varied. With massive spikes down the sides to impress guests too, seems my ideal species! Glad to see a thread about catfish love, keep it up!

Yes their also cool too I the moment I have one but he just sits in a fake plant and plays dead all day he's not really dieing he's just weird:screwy:.

Those things are like... metal catfish If you have ever petted one. and the lateral line, well lets just say its like a CHAIN SAW!!:eek:
 
OMG ALL THESE POST AND NO ONE SAID THE KING OF ALL KINGS IN THE CATFISH WORLD..........THE TIGER SHOVELNOSE!!!!!!!!!! In think that is the one catfish i would own they have such brillaint colors get big and are the most fun to watch eat out of all the fish at at our LFS they have a 14" tiger in a 150 gallon sand bottom tank and it gets my attention every time i go in there!!! they started at $140 USD and now 5 months later they want $80 every time i see him i open my wallet and think about the purchase and talk myself out of it.....no you already go through 5 dozen feeder goldfish a week wanna make it 6 and then i force myself to walk away
