I run 2 FX5's on my 220 and I clean both every 2 months.

Current filtration I'm running on each tank are

45gallon:
2 x AC110
Clean sponges once a week during waterchange.

225gallon:
1 x FX5
1 x Rena Xp4
2 x 1200gph Hydor Koralia powerheads
Alternate cleaning the sponges in cannisters once a month. Also will be adding another cannister filter to this tank soon.

450gallon:
3 x FX5
2 x Marineland Emp 400s
2 x 1200gph Hydor Koralia powerheads
Alternate cleaning the sponges in cannisters once a month and clean the sponges every waterchange in Emp 400s. Also will be adding higher gph powerheads for better circulation in this tank soon.

oh power heads count too? On one FX5 I have custom duel outputs in the lower corners of the tank, and the other has the std. output nozzle in one upper corner and I have the Hydor 1200GPH in the other upper corner.

well the poll doesn't cover diy internal canister filters like mine. i have two running and they simply rock.

water has never been clearer and the gravel bed has like zero, zip bad stuff whenever i gravel vac it.

the commercial filters couldn't beat that.

You forgot sponge filters good bio filtration and low maintenance.

Not enough options or should I say the right combo of filters. I use Sumps/Canisters and HOB.

That is why the poll is setup so you can choose multiple options.
