My first post, seems like it was so long ago and ive learnt so much already-

Hey,

Im Darren, 28 and from Australia. Been keeping reptiles for about 5 years, keeping fish.... well im still pretty new to keeping fish but im getting there.

Reptiles i keep-

Thick tailed geckos.
Golden and spiny tailed geckos.
Broad banded sand swimmers.
A male varanid (monitor).

Fish i keep-

6 Mbunas, 2 Red Empress and 2 Synodontis Catfish (for now)

Have been checkin out MFK for a few days, looked like a good community and thought i would join.

Cheers-

Darren

I no longer have any of those fish, i was inexperianced and had too many species, ones that were not compatable and in too small a tank, most of them were killed by the dominant male Mbuna(kingsizei)

I feel ive come a long way, i now have a much bigger tank, 2 internal filters, a more naturalistic habitat and the right amount and combination of fish and havnt had any agression or problems, well except for when they start breeding.

Here was my greeting from Red devil lol-

just be careful when adding loaches. if they are not used to high pH you will need to adjust them to higher pH slowly. i lowered my pH to 7.0 and them added them to my tank before i added anyother fish. then i let my pH rise back to 8.3 over a period of a week then added my fronts

ONLY CAUSE IT'S YOU C! Uhhhh this feels really dorky...tells you how much you've really learned....

Sorry about your losses!

Yeah, it is sort of dorky...but, that's what is cool about it!
