In search of Leiarius
The Setup:
300 Gal
63" x 69" x 25"

Minimally decorated, hides for each fish, 1100gph of flow through filtration, some floating plants, once every two weeks 30% water change, feeding once a day.

5 catfish that can get up to 30" long.

those dimensions dont add up to 300g, it's more like 470g

Thanks Jcardona1 but I think its 300 due to its taper. wish it didn't taper.

How is it tapered? 300gal's for 5 cat's that grow/could grow to 30''+, with a odd shape tank would be difficult to judge.

As for feeding, I would feed every two days. Filtration sounds ok, but I would have a lot more turn over rate. (That's just me). I would say, with the dimensions you have stated, that your stock is pretty set.

Heres a pic of the stock tank,

and Ive been thinking of just going with the three giant rapheals and the one leiarius pictus and thats it.

if its for life id go for something with a bigger foot print. they have big round tanks but its just getting it in the house :screwy:

Depending how big you get all the catfish. If they were all adults size-ish, I up to around one WC a week, and that also depends on how much you will feed them and how many times a day too.
