Your Honest Opinion Wanted

There is no such thing as an "F1" ruby red/Rubsescens/German red/Woody red/etc.....

F1 means first generation from wild.

None of these red peacocks exist in nature. They are all man-made line-bred fish that have been developed over the years.

What Matt is saying is correct. An "F1" ruby red/Rubescens/etc would be the equivalent to an F1 Marlboro red discus, an F1 oranda goldfish or an F1 veil-tail koi angel. None of these fish exist in a natural habitat and therefor there cannot be F1s.

Not opinion, fact.

Don't believe me? Try to find a picture of one of them in any of Konings' books.....ain't there because it ain't in the lake.

I am not disagreing with you just how it was on the order form. I have seen F1 used on fish brought in from other countries. Don't agree with that either but people are doing it. I am sure the fish I have came from germany at some point in the gene line. Like you said they do not exist in the lake.

Guess this answers the original question. They have to be the same at some point.
