Giant mud colored plecos.

Don't get me wrong, if they moved around and actually DID something I'd like them. But I don't consider one eyeroll a month excitement. Just sitting in piles of mulm and poop. I always see them in 'natural' scrungy ass tanks full of mud , cloudy water and algae. Can't tell the pleco from the pile on the floor.

Agree on plecos, I (my wife) has zebras. I only get bristle nose. Large plecos stop eating alge and produce a lot of waste.

Yeah, but...your tank has sort of de-sensitized you to the opposite extreme. What with all the bopping, popping, smacking, whacking, head-butting, lip-locking, tail-biting, eye-gouging, gravel-digging, plant-uprooting, chasing, fleeing, patrolling, enforcing and who knows what else...dang, my blood pressure is starting to spike just thinking about it.

Your cichlids have done to you what video games have supposedly done to a generation of youngsters; they have insidiously altered your interpretation of normalcy, to the point where you are happy with a tank full of fish who spend all their time beating the crap out of each other! :)

I think I might trade. Should be less expensive and no up keep for me.

I've thought about that once or twice. If you decide to pursue this, you will find that trading a wife is not as simple a procedure as you might think...and certainly neither less expensive nor no-upkeep. :)

...Or did I read that wrong?

Now HOLD it. You left out ripping and chomping...

It's not chaos all the time!

Boss is quietly relaxing in his log. Brick is quiet in his pit (he peeped over the vines to see me).

Red Rainbow Salt is surveying everything from his area peacefully. The hrps are all in their hidey holes. Syno Spot dangles in plants near the top. Even thugs need down time!!

Don’t really get all the hate on plecos
They can be ugly and agressive but there is a lot with personality and color
I have 1 really pretty albino pleco
I have 1 really pretty common
And 1 really smart common they goes to the top and eats the koi’s pellets and when he sees u he goes up to the top
