.....turns out that the kid would boil pasta then place it in containers and leave it unrefrigerated in his dorm room in order to eat throughout the week.....and at some point a colony of deadly bacteria had overtaken the food.A sample of uneaten pasta was examined and results revealed the presence of Bacillus cereus.

Id agree. Alot of "stuff" can grow on that carbolishious bacteria bed in 5 days depending on how its stored.....
Wife and her relatives will cook a bunch of food and leave meat out over night. I go through and say..I'm not eating that, I'm not eating that and so on...
I caould possibly get away with that this time of year as my kitchen gets pretty cold.
I remember one time back in the early 80's we were throwing a party during wintertime. I put the sodas out back to get cold.
