Ok so it appears to have happened in winter haven ,Florida.
The burgular broke in the house, the family fired a warning shot which the burglar ignored, and at least two of the three armed family members shot him.

Winter Haven hunh?.....a former coworker moved down there after he retired.
I had envisioned that idiot breaking into a house full of bangers while they were playing dominos or something and they all draw their heat and give the guy some serious lead poisoning.
