ok so i got sent some motoro's today and was told they would be 15-20cms and pack 2 per box....

On arrival they were 4 in one box from the airport, get them home open box... they were tiny and i was stressing wot to do as they were to small to go into my tank with other large fish, so i sacrificed my bass wrigglers and the rays went into the 4ft tank after acclimatising etc, now i wanna know if i even have a chance at keeping these alive as they are so small/young and to go through the stress of flight/travel/new water.... been a few hours now and i have had no lighting on and a sheet covering the tank to help prevent any more stress and water condition is pristine as i had cichla wrigglers in there.

So how do u think i will go?
Is this to young for shipping?
Roughly how old would they be at this size surely not the 4 weeks i was promised?

also the behavior at the moment.. one hasnt moved glued to the bottom.. the other is like staying on surface swimming back and forward with eyes out of water occasionally.....

I don't know much about rays, but those are damn near new born pups. GL

if those motoros are 4 weeks old, then they are massive. Despite the stress they've gone through, motoros are one of the more resilient species of rays. I should say that so far you are doing everything you can for the meantime because i followed your advice with my struggling mantilla and he actually ate something earlier.

They look about a month old and about the right size to ship out. Just make sure to keep the water clean, get them eating, and make sure your filtration can keep up.

I would try chopped earthworms very small

They look pretty healthy so i wouldnt worry

Do not use massivore yet these pups are too small to eat it.Feed them small pieces of chopped up earthworm as Vamptrev suggested.Once feeding well you can add small bits of shrimp or tilapia. They should do fine.
