so i went to my lfs and was going to order my tig but i saw a hybrid there and he was half tiger shovel nose and half jaguar cat really sweet pattern he looked really kool i wanted to know do u think he will take the size trait of the jaguar cat or or of the tiger shovel nose beacuse i have a nice 300 gallon setup long but not looking to get a pond or bigger tank

Anyway, by jaguar cat, you mean marble cat (L. marmoratus) right? (Jaguar catfish normally refers to Liosomadorus oncinus which only gets to 6-8") If so, yeah I'ld think it would get to somewhere between the adult sizes of a TSN and a marble cat.

what do u think its a good price for him he is a tig and he is 4 inch for 80 bucks low quality or a good deal want to order him monday

I'm from SD and went to the shop last Sunday so I got a chance to see these guys first hand. I know it says only one in stock on web site but he actually had 3 and for $85 dollars...that's a steal. They were very healthy and were going after blood worms like there was no tomorrow. They are still pretty small tho to tell if they will have a nice pattern, but I think they all grow up to have nice patterns eventually. But I always get great deals from Paul (store owner) and from what I can tell, looks like he's doing pretty good with the whole shipping thing.

He's got a lot of other cool stuff right now too. Endli bichirs, indo dats, fancy plecos, FH...etc. Not sure if your in the market for anything else but you could save on shipping. I would give him a call cuz a lot of stuff is not posted on the site. I have to admit his english is a bit shaky.

Is the fish in the pic the hybrid or the tig?It does not look like a tig with that blunt snout.
